Long Island Lock #14 ON to Buritts Rapids, ON

Miles Traveled 25.4
Total Miles Traveled 5063
Day 298

After locking through three consecutive locks this morning, we cruised the Rideau River, gradually widening to a lake with residential houses at each shoreline.

We saw several classic boats today.

We look for logs, floating weeds, and the occasional plastic ice bag along the way, but this was the first time we had a swimmer crossing in front of us.

We arrived at lock #17 and tied up to the overnight wall after locking through.  The weather has been great, highs in the 80’s and lows around 60.
