We were on Lake Simcoe before 7 a.m. this morning with
the wind and waves at our back.
After crossing the lake we continued on the canal system,
and a few other smaller lakes.
We are starting to see more rock as we get closer to the
Georgian Bay.
We are at the top of Lock #43, the Swift Rapids Lock with a drop of 47 feet. When lowering boats in the lock, the water is diverted below the canal level causing considerable turbulence.
