With possible storms predicted in the next couple of
days, we decided to leave Kingston this morning to get past some of the open
water of the north east section of Lake Ontario. When leaving the marina, we re-entered the St
Lawrence River, and continued past Lake Ontario into the North Channel. We anchored in Picton Bay about 35 miles from
Trenton, where we will enter the Trent-Severn waterway.
We dropped the dingy and tried to catch a few fish for dinner, but they just were not biting….okay, Moni caught a half dozen or so, but not keepers. We grilled salmon and baked potatoes, and had a nice quiet evening on the hook.
