Colonel By Island, ON Day 3

Miles Traveled 0
Total Miles Traveled 5101
Day 302

Today was cloudy and much cooler, yesterday was 35 degrees, okay Celsius, 95 Fahrenheit.  We spent several hours in the dinghy and had a little too much sun yesterday, so the cooler temperature was great.  This also gave us a chance to do a little boat cleaning.  I cleaned all of the vinyl (Strataglass) on our flybridge enclosure and gave it a coat of polish.   Moni swept and cleaned the inside of the boat.  We had planned to go fishing again, but decided we were too tired and relaxed on the flybridge the rest of the afternoon.

The island has an old cabin on it and a tennis court.  The story is that it was built by Danny Arnstein, I didn’t know the name but he was co-owner of Yellow Cab in New York and Chicago in 1949-50.  The building is abandon with no trespassing signs, but the park still maintains the tennis court for tennis or basketball.

Several boats came to the park today, the dock is full and several boats are on the park provided mooring balls.  So far no rain, but storms are still in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow.
