Well we can’t have perfect weather every day, it rained off and on most of the day.  We did have time to walk to town for breakfast and back without getting wet.  We are at the visitor’s center in Waterford, just down from the first lock of the Erie Canal.  A long wall, with a floating dock is provided by the city for boats to stay before continuing on to the Erie or Champlain canal routes.

Three of our friends left this morning when we had a break in the weather, “Miss My Money”, “Mascot”, and “Cat Daddy”.

This is the first lock of the Erie Canal.

We spent most of the day planning our route from here to Montreal and then on to Ottawa.
