June 10, 2016
Friday
Miles Traveled 43.9
Total Miles Traveled 4702
Day 274

It was a little chilly this morning but the sun was shining making for a comfortable cruise on Champlain Lake.  As soon as we started, the lake gradually became wider……..and deeper.  The maximum depth I saw on our depth sounder was 415 feet.

Split Rock Light

Champlain Memorial Lighthouse on Crown Point, has been converted from a conventional lighthouse into a memorial to the exploration of the lake by Samuel de Champlain.

Approaching Burlington Vermont

Downtown during Jazz Festival week.

This was a really cool mural on the side of this brick building depicting the history of the town.

Former Mayor and Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders is also in the mural.

Ben and Jerry’s ice cream was founded in 1978 in Burlington, Vermont.  We couldn’t just walk by without treating ourselves to a cone.

“Moni Jean” at the marina.
