Fog over the Adirondack Mountains before leaving the marina
this morning, it was 54 degrees with a light breeze. The forecast for this afternoon was
thunderstorms and 15 to 20 mph wind. The
marina at Burlington is exposed to strong southwest winds so we decided to
continue north to the Champlain Marina and wait out the weather for a couple of
days.
As soon as we arrived at the marina we noticed the Gold Looper boat “Serenity”. There are three colors of Burgee’s (Flags), White is someone planning or in progress, Gold is someone that has completed the loop one time, and Platinum is someone that has completed the loop more than once. As soon as we arrived at the fuel dock, our new friends welcomed us to the marina.
