Colchester, VT Day 2,3

Miles Traveled 0
Total Miles Traveled 4721
Days 276, 277

We had wind and rain most of the day yesterday with temperatures in the low 50’s.  It wasn’t all bad though, we needed to get caught up on a few things and staying here at the marina gave us that opportunity.

We had planned to leave this morning but the wind was making Champlain Lake too rough for our comfort so we decided to stay another day and let the cold front pass through.

Today was laundry day, the marina provides coin operated washers and dryers which makes it pretty convenient as we travel. Nana is getting caught up on post cards.

The marina was busy putting boats in the water from winter storage.

We’re getting ready to have a cookout with our new friends John and Kathy from “Serenity”.  They will be heading south for Lake Erie tomorrow and we will be heading north, crossing Lake Champlain on the  New York side of the lake.

Just before dark, another storm passed through, we didn’t have thunder and lightning just high winds and sideways rain.  We also had whitecaps flowing down the middle of the marina, we’re sure glad we were tied to a dock and not swinging on the hook.
