Morehead City, NC to Belhaven, NC

Miles Traveled 70.7
Total Miles Traveled 3768
Day 243

Before we pulled away from the dock this morning I had to take this picture of Sport Fisher Row, this side of the dock was lined with some really nice boats.

We took advantage of the weather today to get past two big open bodies of water, the Neuse and Pamlico Rivers; although they are rivers they are several miles long and wide.

This power cat was sitting back off the waterway and pulled slowly behind us, we thought it was a Navy or Coast Guard vessel but a closer look with the binoculars it appeared to be a recreational vessel.

We only saw a few boats all day, much different than traveling on the weekends.

We caught up with Lydia, another looper that we haven't seen since the Little Shark River on the Gulf coast.

By late afternoon we had 2-3 foot waves before arriving at the Belhaven City Dock, but we ended the day with another awesome sunset.

Brad & I took many trips to the New Bern/Beaufort/ Atlantic Beach area during our time in NC. As a heads up, if you venture to Corolla, it's pronounced "Cor-RAH-lah" although it looks just like the Toyota car model. That's where we vacationed last year. :)

We were inland several miles from there but I can see why they had tornado warnings last year, very exposed to bad weather.
