Atlantic City, NJ to Manasquan, NJ

Miles Traveled 62.7
Total Miles Traveled 4345
Day 259

King Neptune was generous again providing another opportunity for us to take the outside route on our second of three legs to Sandy Hook Bay, NJ.  Although we had a light wind early this morning, we had an opposing current causing pretty rough conditions getting through the inlet.  Once we were clear of the inlet and heading north, our ride smoothed out considerably.

We only saw a few boats today, but this was a really nice one.

We saw something off in the distance causing us to change course.  The charts show several submerged cables in this area, so we are assuming this is a repair project.

This is the Barnegat Lighthouse, located at the North end of Long Beach Island, New Jersey.  The lighthouse, also known as Old Barney, emits a beam of light every 10 seconds that can be seen for 25 miles.

We arrived at the marina in Manasquan, located between two bridges.   We are located on a T-head just past a narrow railroad bridge; there are strong currents through the bridge and marina during tide changes.  We were lucky to get this place due to the upcoming holiday weekend.
