Georgetown, SC to Bucksport, SC

Miles Traveled 41.7
Total Miles Traveled 3522
Day 238

Finally, deep water all day, this makes for a relaxing cruise.  As we passed Georgetown SC, the Coast Guard was replacing a Red Daymarker ATON (Aid to Navigation).

After leaving Winyah Bay at Georgetown, we entered the Waccamaw River, a deep and scenic change from the previous days.

Nice house…….and boats!

We passed the Estherville Minim Creek Canal Ferry, no delays today.

About 10 miles from our anchorage, we ran into a downpour, we can’t remember the last time we were cruising in heavy rain; I guess we’ve been pretty lucky so far.  This is our anchorage at Waccamaw River behind an Island from the ICW.

We were only at anchor an hour or so and another downpour, great protected anchorage and good holding.

Update.....while talking to Dad this evening, it started to pour down rain again and the sun was out, I turned around to this view.
