Total Miles Traveled 3994
Day 250
The forecast for today was light rain and calm wind so we
decided to cruise about 50 miles to another anchorage. This is the first time we have seen a tug boat pulling a
barge.
After few miles out on the Chesapeake Bay we noticed darker
skies and heavy rain to our southwest.
Another check on the forecast and it included possible thunderstorms;
we did not want to be several miles out on open water in a thunderstorm, so we
changed course toward a protected inlet.
About four miles from the inlet, the sprinkle turned into a steady rain
and the fog started closing in.
When we rounded the turn in Mill Creek, we found seven
other boaters had the same idea. There
was plenty of room for us, so we dropped the hook in a downpour, and called it
a day.
