We hiked to Lake Topaz this morning; the lake is located
close to the top of the mountain chain along the north side of Baie Fine. The water is ultra clear, surrounded by steep
quartz cliffs and the trail leading up to
the lake is mostly a dry creek bed with steep hills on both sides.

It was a hard decision to leave a beautiful anchorage today, but there are many more anchorages to explore in the North Channel and so little time to see them. We could spend an entire summer in this area and only see a small percentage of the anchorages available.
