Guntersville Lake to Joe Wheeler Lake, AL

Miles Traveled 19.5
Total Miles Traveled 600
Day 20-22

We have been anchored in a bay at Honeycomb Creek on Guntersville Lake, AL for a few days, so we decided not to update the blog until we moved. The wind picked up yesterday so we moved to the north side of the bay so the mountains would provide calmer water.  It has been cool, cloudy and overcast but the sun did peak through yesterday evening.

The fishing was also a better at this location.

Today was our lucky day, we were only a couple of miles from Guntersville Lock and as we approached the river channel, we saw a tow that had just locked through.  We called the lockmaster and were told he would be ready for us in about 10 minutes.  After locking through, we passed three tows heading for the lock.

Today we are at Ditto Landing Marina, not far from Huntsville, AL.   It was a little challenging getting the boat into the slip with the wind gusting, but one of the dock hands helped keep us away from the dock.  As soon as we tied up, it started raining.  We have our fingers crossed for a sunny day tomorrow.

That doesn't look like a Carppie? Did you catch it with the frog you were talking about?
