Miles Traveled 47.4
Total Miles Traveled 5873
Day 341

With only a 15% chance of rain, and calm winds, we left early this morning for the open waters of Lake Huron.

De Tour Reef Light marking the southern entrance of the De Tour Passage.

Martin Reef Light, 4.3 miles south of Cadogan Point,  marks a reef that is only a few inches deep at its
shallowest point.

Don’t  make eye contact, argh!

Ugh oh……..we are 14 miles out from Mackinac Island, time to close the hatches.

Mackinac Island (pronounced Mak-in-aw) is an island and resort area covering 3.8 square miles located in Lake Huron.  It is well known for its numerous cultural events, its wide variety of architectural styles, including the famous Victorian Grand Hotel, its fudge, and its ban on almost all motor vehicles.  The only transportation on the island is horse drawn carriages and bicycles.

The water is crystal clear; I took this picture from the back of the boat in about 8 feet of water.
