Ellis Grove, IL to Evansville, IL

Miles Traveled 9.5
Total Miles Traveled 6725
Day 365

This was probably our most industrial overnight stay since starting the loop, but we were thankful to have a secure place to tie up.

After reviewing the weather forecast this morning, we decided not to continue down the Mississippi River, places to get off of the river are far and few between if the weather turned against us.  We locked through the Kaskaskia Lock and Dam and continued up the Kaskaskia River about 9 miles to a small marina located at Evansville, Illinois.  The rain started about 2 hours after arriving at the marina, but we did not experience severe weather……..yet.

We had a nice quite cruise all the way to the marina without passing one boat.  We saw several eagles along the way.

Not less than 15 feet to Port of Evansville Marina. Just added review on Active Captain for the marina
