We are still at Key West Harbour Marina, located at Stock
Island, Florida, about 5 miles from downtown Key West. We plan to stay at this marina until the
first of March, and then, weather permitting, will start our way up the
Atlantic Coast.
I must admit we have been enjoying the weather and laid
back lifestyle of the Key’s.
We are close to the Key West airport and a military air
base. We see several jets doing maneuvers
over the Atlantic during the day. Pretty cool, makes you want to stand up and wave our flag!
This charter fishing boat came in behind our boat looking
for live bait; I told the captain he needs a bigger boat so he could add
another engine. He said he would bring
his big boat by tomorrow. Turns out, the
guys on the boat are from Buzzard Rock Marina on Barkley Lake, Ky….small world.
