The sun was shining when we left the marina, but as soon as we started into Mobile Bay we ran into light fog. After an hour or so we had blue skies and calm waters. This is our view heading southeast to the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW)
It took about 3 hours to cross Mobile Bay from the marina,
to the ICW. We are in the Gulf Shores,
AL area, and decided to stop at Lulu’s for lunch. Lulu’s restaurant is operated by Lucy
Buffett, Jimmy Buffet’s sister, and is located on the ICW.
We were pretty disappointed not to have seen a dolphin
crossing the Bay, but we did catch a glimpse of one just before arriving at our
anchorage. Sorry, didn’t get a picture.
