Day 9
The day started off by replacing the #1 primary fuel filter, the differential pressure gauge indicated the filter was okay, but the pressure switch indicating light kept turning on and off. We decided to replace the filter to be on the safe side.
We had a hard time contacting the marina harbor master and didn’t get away from the marina until almost 10 a.m.
As soon as we started up the river the filter light started flashing again, I checked the gauge and everything was okay so we continued to monitor it as we cruised. After about 30 minutes the light went off and didn’t return the remainder of the day. I do routine engine room checks while cruising and the filter looked good all day. Suspect faulty switch.
We crossed under the Clement C Clay Bridge, US 231 highway.
This was a beautiful day and a very scenic cruise up the
river. We saw very few boats and only
one tow all the way.
We found a nice anchorage behind Goat Island and fired up the grill.

Rick, I wonder if Janis would be interested in a copy of pages out of my river guide so her class could see more detail of where you are on the river I would be glad to take them to her
I guess i should ask where she is first, never thought about that
No problem, we thought you knew she was in Florida. We sent them the AGLCA map of the of the Great Loop and they are following along in class. Thanks for the offer!
If you get me an email address I can try to get her the guide
